I have been thinking that a good outcome is to have students know how to meet English Language Arts standards of using textual evidence for argumentation, etc. I understand from Kim Lightle of the Middle School Pathways that this is a growing interest of high school educators given the Next Generation Science Standards. What do others think? Is this of interest? Valerie, did your students work on argumentation and using evidence to support claims?
