I have been teaching an online climate change class this past school year. Because I did not see the students in a traditional class everything had to happen online. There were no hands on labs. What I did use were interactive virtual labs. One of my favorites is from the Smithsonian. http://www.smithsonianeducation.org/ide ... /index.htm
This is a lab where students study fossil leaves to determine past climate. It required some reading, math and manipulating virtual leaves. It is a good example of natural climate change.
